I live in Russia , recently purchased a Golf-4 with the engine 1.4 BCA and mileage 150000км,I don't know, real or not,With Germany brought 2008-owned 96 000 km , friends say that you have a very high mileage roll . In General, I have a problem with switching gears , bad 1 is enabled and 2 , how can I solve the problem? It is worth chip tuning 1.4 or not worth it!!!What pour oil into the engine which viscosity?Lew Shell 5-30!     Would you please try again to discribe the problem with your gearbox?


    Regarding your question whith chip tuning; for your engine it would not be worth the money to spend. In maximum it will bring 5-10HP not more!
    The oil, you suggest will work for your engine.


    The problem with the maximum speed I also don't understand, because there is an russian word in your thread and I'm not able to read and understand.

    This translator is horrible to understand. Can you please tell us what kind of gearbox you have? There must be an Identification code like DUW, it is located underneath the gearbox. So if you lift up your car and remove the panel you will see an plain region where the code is graven.


    Fact is, the DUW gearbox has a problem with loosen rivets inside, at the differential.

    Ok, it seems that you found the fault on your engine. Also the problem with your gearbox seems to be located.


    Depending on your mechanical skills I suggest to buy a damaged car (maybe with an stronger engine) and switch the engine and gearbox
