From 8V to 16V

    Hi
    I have been searching for some hours now and didn´t find an answer :(
    I will swap a VW Golf II GTI 8V from ´84 (Engine code EV) to a GTI 16V PL. It´s has to be the PL engine to be legal here i Denmark and im thinking if it possible to keep my old wiring harness and the K-tronic injection? Just move all the wires from the 8V to the 16V and still using my old injection?
    Maybe it´s noob questions but i normal drive Honda this is my girlfriends car

    Yes i know but is it not possible to use the old K-tronic insteed of the KE-tronic? It´s because i think the PL engine use a newer wiring harness than the EV so if i use the harness from the PL i have to change all wiring and fuse box, or is that not correct?

    In my opinion it will be the cheapest way to buy a complete 16V Golf (maybe a damaged one) and take the whole Engine with accessories to your 8V.
    The 8V Engine are more different to the 16V as it looks like.

    I don´t have space for a hole car...
    How about if i get the PL motor and all the wiring an induction from a KR motor? Is it almost "plug´n´play" ?

    This solution should work.
    The KR/PL is nearly the same.
    The PL has only a little bit more electronic and KE-Jetronic instead of K-Jetronic.
